As part of efforts to strengthen partnerships between educational and charitable institutions worldwide, the Secretary-General of the World Assembly of Muslim Youth (WAMY), Dr. Saleh Babaeer, welcomed a high-level delegation at the organization’s headquarters in Riyadh. The delegation included several university presidents, NGO leaders, and representatives of charitable associations from across Africa.

Among the notable attendees was Dr. Hamidou Karihila, former Ambassador of the Comoros to Riyadh, founder of the Loyalty and Development Foundation in the Comoros, and president of the Hope Party. His presence underscored the deep connection he maintains with WAMY, especially as one of its alumni — he earned his PhD through a scholarship granted by the organization in 2003.

In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Dr. Karihila expressed his sincere gratitude to the Secretary-General and all WAMY staff, praising the organization’s humanitarian, cultural, and educational contributions in his home country, the Comoros, and in many parts of the world. He noted that this meeting reflects WAMY’s ongoing commitment to fostering cooperation with the African continent to support and empower local communities.

The meeting marked a significant step toward building new, fruitful partnerships. WAMY continues to support educational and development initiatives, reaffirming its leadership in empowering societies through knowledge and sustainable humanitarian action.

We take this opportunity to extend our heartfelt thanks and deep appreciation to the Secretary-General of the symposium for his commendable efforts. We also express our sincere gratitude and highest regard to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and His Royal Highness the Crown Prince — may God preserve them — as well as their wise government, for their continued care, unwavering support, and dedication to such initiatives that serve humanity.
